Yeah my whole guild was really upset when they changed it, we used to chest run all the time. We still do a bit but its not the same
I tell you what though, if you don't have all that much gold to spend, getting your wisdom and TH titles got a LOT more expensive when they changed it. I'm not sure they really thought the change through all that well.

If it wasn't for pudding I would've voted for the chests dropping different colors.

I liek the new chest system better. Back in the days, during chest runs in raisu palace explorable, people would fight over who would open the chest first. One time, I had an incident where everyone just waited 30 minutes for someone to open the first chest. There's no more problems with that. Seriously, the only thing you'd hear would be
"I went inside first and took most of the damage, so you go open it." or
"I already opened it 3 times the first time. Its your turn"
now, there's really no more arguments.

I voted for the same colour like in factions.
But i understand that the change in Nightfall was made because of the improvement to the Salvage options upgrade in Nightfall where you are guaranteed the first mod of choice.
Hence the old system of similar color chest drops would infact flood the mod market and make prices plummet even lower if it was kept that way. Hence the change back to random was made in a sort of a way to control/limit the depreciation of prices of perfect mods to some extend.

Old version
Though I use to run chests by myself it was still a better system overall.

The new system is superior IMO, since there is now no reason to leave a chest unopened. The whole "chest tester" concept annoyed me before, the new system means that if you've got a key, and an inclination to use it, then you should go right ahead

But seriously, i think they both have their ups and downs. Overall the new system is probably the most fair, though i'd like to see some better quality golds. Especially from the more expensive chests.

I like same color.
But with that it always came to. Who will be the brave one to unlock the chest to determine if it will be gold or purple, and if it is purple, sux2bu.

earning gold weaponry the way it is in the domain of anguish is imho the only way to go. I wish the same system would exist for other skins as well, while being not that extreme (or extremity based on skin).
Player could then "earn" their skin, instead of doing farming exploits, chestrunning and scam-trading in order to get them.

New system. Chest testing was a stupid feature to have in a random loot generator.
